QUT Big Lift 2016 AGM
_QUT Big Lift will enter its sixth year of operation in 2016. As outgoing executive, we are excited to officially hand over to a new team that will be elected by the club membership. Each position will be elected by vote at our AGM , to which we invite nominees and all Big Lift members and alumni to attend the AGM at 4:30pm for a 5pm start. All applicants for general membership are accepted to become a part of the QUT Big Lift community. For a leadership role, nominations are required and a team will be elected. If you wish to nominate, please ensure you have done so by 5pm Wednesday 30 December. If you are unable to attend the AGM, you can either determine a person to be your proxy or tune in via phone call or video chat to present a statement.
The outgoing executive team is currently reviewing the club’s constitution and is drafting some amendments to be proposed at the upcoming AGM, these amendments will be shared when we announce the nominations one week prior to the AGM. While the our annual eight day journey is a highlight of the QUT Big Lift experience, we are constantly active and engaged throughout the year in accordance with our three core values of meaningful volunteering, student engagement and indigenous relations.
In 2016 we will be actively engaging with our local communities in Brisbane across a wide variety of events with the aims of spreading awareness, getting involved, fundraising and of course, enjoying the year!
